This course covers intensive practical math designed for individuals entering the health occupations industry.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Apply mathematical computations to solve equations used in healthcare.
  2. Define basic units of measurements in

    • the household system
  3. Convert among measurement systems.
  4. Identify abbreviations used in calculating medication dosages.
  5. Identify normal and abnormal results as reported in:

  6. Demonstrate understanding of mathematics as related to the role of a Medical Assistant
