CARP 275 - Advanced Interior/Exterior I

Definitions of architectural symbols; to understand plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and applications; the layout and construction of chimney and fireplaces will be covered.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Explain safe and professional practices used in a construction environment.
  2. Explain how supervisors guide work of others.
  3. Explain the basics of HVAC systems.
  4. Describe the basics of appliances.
  5. Measure drywall for interior walls.
  6. Identify roofing flashing techniques.
  7. Describe paint and primer techniques for interior and exterior of building.
  8. Estimate placement of window and door frames.
  9. Explain techniques used for various types of interior trim, exterior trim, and siding.
