CARP 172 - Interior/Exterior I

Course work includes framing methods, roof framing, siding, roofing materials, and insulation installment. Students will gain knowledge in learning how to work with blueprints that are used in construction. Topics range from building materials, the proper and safe use of tools and machines, and the major processes of building construction.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Identify safe and professional construction environment practices.
  2. Classify roofing materials and uses.
  3. Describe the installation of drywall to interior walls.
  4. Plan window and door openings for a building.
  5. Describe the types of interior trim, exterior trim, and siding.
  6. Explain methods for framing inside and outside corners.
