CAP 041 - Biology IA

Biology IA is the first of two courses covering the life science of biology, including a study of evolution, homeostasis (internal environment), nutrition, fitness, energy, and the cell.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Apply the scientific method to investigate the physical world.
  2. Identify and analyze current issues related to biology and society.
  3. Describe basic cell structure and metabolic processes.
  4. Explain how organisms maintain their internal environment.
  5. Construct an explanation based on evidence for how natural selection leads to the adaptation of populations
  6. Apply specific principles in lab and field experiments.
