AGBS 103 - Intro to Precision Ag for Farm Management

Introduction to precision agriculture application on the farm using industry specific software. Entering records, creating databases and developing field maps will be included as well as gathering and inputting yield and soils data.
Course Outcomes:
 
  1. Define precision agriculture.
  2. Integrate GIS (Geographic Information System) technology with field equipment.
  3. Acquire and input agricultural data in to software applications.
  4. Examine precision agriculture software usage.
  5. Design farm/ranch management strategies using collected historical data.
