AGSY 450 - Advanced Cropping Systems II

Students will examine new and emerging concepts in agronomic crop production at the local, national, and international scale. Contemporary topics in agriculture will be examined with a focus on application of ecological concepts and technology applications for monitoring, managing and improving outcomes.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Summarize factors that drive or constrain change in cropping systems.
  2. Explain and critique new and emerging approaches to crop management in the context of sustainability.
  3. Analyze the opportunities and challenges that emerge when working with technology to improve agricultural outcomes.
  4. Operate and assess agricultural technologies and platforms to address agricultural challenges.
  5. Design dynamic and effective strategies for using technologies and platforms to improve agricultural outcomes.
