AGSY 360 - Agricultural Systems Management Credits: 5 This course will provide students with an understanding of the essential issues associated with the productivity of current agricultural systems, including areas of land acquisition and tenure; diversification of risk; programs, services, and subsidies; labor rights; as well as personal and community well-being. Students will engage with local subject matter experts to inform the structure of their individual and co-designed preemptive management plans. Course Outcomes:
- Construct management plans
- Apply knowledge of critical issues in management plans
- Identify points of assessment and entry in plan
- Predict potential consequences of various solutions
- Create system resiliency by evaluating and addressing critical components
- Evaluate the critical components necessary to create system resiliency within agricultural systems management
- Articulate a strategic implementation plan for the appropriate stakeholder, in report form
