AHSE 146 - The Communication Link

This course focuses on the importance of communication skills of the patient navigator in facilitating effective patient care and advocacy. This is the fifth course of a seven-course series.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Describe effective communication skills required for the patient navigator role.
  2. Demonstrate interviewing strategies to reduce social and cultural barriers to health care.
  3. Recognize ways to manage conflict and build trust through communication.
  4. Analyze the impact of health literacy on patient health.
