Study of the economics and management strategies for raising and marketing the various types and classes of beef cattle.
Course Outcomes:
 
  1. Analyze the production cycle of different classes of cattle.
  2. Identify and illustrate costs of beef production.
  3. Prepare and summarize financial statements for a ranch operation.
  4. Apply knowledge of production and financial statements to banking and procuring financing.
  5. Prepare a strategic ranch management plan.
