ANSC 224 - Pasture and Range Management Credits: 5 A study of the proper use and management of forage producing lands using grazing animals as a method to harvest and utilize this resource. This class will also focus on the economics of grazing livestock and the environmental sustainability issue surrounding the topic. Course Outcomes:
- Identify various pasture and forage plants.
- Demonstrate the appropriate use of different pasture plants.
- Examine and question the effects of soil fertility on forage production.
- Evaluate grazing methods and proper use.
- Predict costs associated with managing and proper utilization of pasture and range.
