BUS 287 - Business Project Credits: 5 Provides students an opportunity to synthesize knowledge gained through their degree coursework in the form of a final project related to their desired career path. Students will plan and propose a workplace, entrepreneurial, or research project. Students will learn opportunities for professional networking, and will apply leadership skills and career-readiness competencies. Students will prepare and present their final project. Course Outcomes:
- Summarize personal career goals and how they relate to project topic.
- Brainstorm and identify a completable workplace, entrepreneurial, or research project.
- Develop project proposal to articulate scope and feasibility of project.
- Connect with industry professional or peer mentor to share project ideas and feedback with.
- Communicate mid-project questions, goals, and progress.
- Complete approved project and upload relevant project component files.
- Write project completion report.
- Articulate prior course knowledge, leadership skills, and career-readiness competencies
- applied within project.
- Present project summary.
- Update resume, portfolio, or networking profile to articulate project accomplishments.
