Fundamental course in proofreading and editing skills. Develops skills in proofreading to detect errors in capitalization, content, formatting, grammar, number usage, abbreviations, punctuation, spelling, word division, and word usage in business documents.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Edit documents for professionalism.
  2. Edit and identify the most common types of errors to apply editing skills in written and electronic messages.
  3. Identify most frequently misspelled words.
  4. Spell words correctly.
  5. Edit documents from hard copy as well as electronic copy.
