ART 103 - Drawing III Credits: 5 LEC hours per week: 4 LAB hours per week: 2 Advanced drawing course for students who are interested in the study of the human figure, line, shape, value, texture and color with emphasis on composition of life drawings. Lab hours required. Prerequisite(s): Grade of D or higher in ART 102 . Course Outcomes:
- Construct realistic figure drawings employing new methods of composition.
- Explain and apply major terms, vocabulary, methods, concepts, and theories relevant to drawing.
- Use figure drawing tools and materials proficiently.
- Demonstrate ethical and responsible use of media and information.

- Human anatomy
- Materials, techniques and styles of drawing the human figure
- Proportion and measure of the human figure
- Art vocabulary and terminology as applied to figure drawing
- Composition of figure drawings from observation
- Ethical and responsible use of media and information
