ESTE 204 - Introduction to Basic Electronics

Introduction to solid-state theory and basic electronic components. Students will study solid-state theory, operation, and testing of solid-state components and devices to include diodes, thermistors, transducers, photocells, transistor, SCR, Diac, Triac, SS relays, photoelectric and proximity controls. Formerly: EST 240.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in ESTE 104 or instructor permission.

Explain Solid State Theory
Identify electronic components visually and as symbols
Test solid state devices
Operate a programmable thermostat
Operate a programmable controller
Assemble and calibrate a digital Multimeter
