 This is part three of an algebra-based physics sequence intended for non-physical science majors. Topics include electricity and magnetism, optics, and selected topics in modern physics (relativity, structure of the atom, quantum theory, etc.). Lab work required. Formerly: PHYS 123.

	Course Topics:Build simple DC circuits and predict their behavior.Describe the interaction of electric and magnetic fields.Analyze electromagnetic waves in terms of ray and wave optics.Describe the modern physics principles of special relativity and quantum theory.Solve quantitative problems related to related to electricity and magnetism, optics, and topics from modern physics using algebra and trigonometry.Design and carry out laboratory experiments that relate to DC circuits and elementary optics.
