 An introductory course in which students explore the practical uses and creative possibilities of digital media through Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Emphasis is on understanding the basic tools and techniques for individual expression and visual problem-solving. No experience necessary.

	Course Topics:Identify the difference between vector and raster graphics.Identify basic tools and techniques of both Illustrator and Photoshop.Select and apply the appropriate tools for desired results.Apply critical thinking skills to visual problem solving.Define the potential application of digital skills in a variety of work environments.Express topics of personal interest and meaning through digital art.Explain and apply major terms, vocabulary, methods, concepts, and theories relevant to digital art.Demonstrate ethical and responsible use of media and information.
