BUS 262 - User Experience (UX)

This course provides a hands-on introduction to the User Experience (UX) development process. Students will conduct interviews and observations and evaluate systems through the lens of good design. Students will practice the process by applying it to a real-world micro-research project. This will include: developing a strategy to address an inherently ill-defined problem, practicing problem definition, and    presenting findings and possible solutions to community members. Equivalent course to CS 252 ; student may not earn credit for both BUS 262 and CS 252 . Formerly: EMRK 252.
Course Outcomes:
  • Research and conduct interviews for the purpose of creating or improving user-centered products.
  • Explain the process of taking a concept to working prototype. 
  • Develop marketing personas.
  • Practice writing problem definitions for developing measurement standards.
  • Conduct a micro-research project and present it.
