COSM 281 - Cadet Instructor Training

This course offers training in management and laboratory supervision covering the application of teaching techniques in practical classroom and laboratory services, dispensary inventory and maintenance, and reception area management. Must have a minimum two years of successful work experience and hold a current Cosmetology License in the State of Washington.
Course Outcomes:

Develop lesson plans for Cosmetology/Barbering students, which includes styling/hair cutting techniques, industry best practices, related academic skills, and regulations.
Develop strategies for students to encourage problem solving, decision-making, self-worth, self-management, integrity, and interpersonal skills.
Manage time in relation to lesson planning and delivering instructional content.
Create formative and summative student assessments that align with course outcomes.
