In-depth study of diesel engines, including theory of operation, testing and rebuilding. Students must be seeking a certificate or degree in Diesel Technology.
Course Outcomes:

Apply theoretical fundamentals of internal combustion engines to maintain, repair, and overhaul projects.
Use common shop tools and equipment necessary to rebuild engines.
Apply specific skills in the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of engines.
Analyze premature failure problems
Evaluate personal progress on the NATEF task list.
