Learner-focused college readiness course designed to provide English Language Acquisition (ELA) learners with an understanding of college culture, learning needs and goal setting. The course is offered with students one-to-one, in small or large groups, or in a combination of these configurations. State-mandated assessment as well as the college’s registration processes are included. Course has fully developed modules of instruction and is offered as a computer enhanced course.
Course Outcomes:

Complete registration, state-mandated admissions forms and CASAS assessments
Self-identify needs such as academic skill gaps and learning difficulties
Identify available resources and services at WWCC
Possess current ID and library cards
Demonstrate readiness to learn through consistent attendance
Prepare a personal learning plan to address self-identified barriers to success
