Designed to meet the OSHA requirements for lift truck operator training and certification. Safe lifting/chaining and moving of loads will be demonstrated and discussed.
Course Outcomes:

Explain the OSHA and L & I regulations for motorized lift truck operation.
Identify the various types of powered industrial trucks and counterbalanced forklifts.
Identify the key parts of any forklift.
Assess the safety limits of various forklifts types and configurations, including fulcrum point, center of gravity, load center, and stability.
Describe and demonstrate the safe operation of a forklift from pre-use inspection to parking and shutting down.
Identify various power sources used for forklifts and explain the procedures for safe handling.
Complete industry certification in the safe operation of motorized lift trucks.
