GIS 152 - Practical Agricultural Application of GIS Credits: 3 LEC hours per week: 2 LAB hours per week: 2 Instruction in advanced topics of GIS with an emphasis on agricultural systems. Emphasis includes geo-spatial analysis, creation and use of geo-databases, geo-referencing, digital elevation models, aerial data, and using ESRI ArcGIS for Desktop software. Formerly: CET 251 and ENT 152. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in GIS 151 or instructor permission. Course Outcomes:
- Create and evaluate soil sample maps.
- Map farm yield management zones.
- Georeference photogrammetric images.
- Analyze multispectral images to determine crop health.
- Develop fertilizer prescriptions.
